Maldives was under English and Dutch protection until they become Republic. The Republic of Maldives is a group of coral islands to the north of the equator in the Indian Ocean. It is to the southwest of India and Sri Lanka. Out of the 1200 islands only 200 are inhabited and none of them rise 6’ above sea level.
Tourism is the largest industry for this Republic. Almost 90% economic of Maldives was supported by it. The republic of Maldives is famous by its beaches and also amazing under water life.

Maldives is a save country. There’s very little crime at Maldives. There are also no serious diseases here. There are no hotels in Maldives, only resort. Most resort take up their own island. There are Dive resorts which design for divers, Holiday Resorts which design for family and Luxury Resort, which design for honeymooners and the jet sets. There are also over water bungalow, built stilts directly upon lagoon.
Maldives music and dance is called The Bodu Beru. It derives its name from a big drum by the same name. In the tourist resorts it is put on with great elan for a local culture night. It is featured by a gradual increase in the tempo of the dancers ending up in a rhythmic frenzy. Four to six drummers accompany the performance in an ensemble, and the beats as well as the sound have strong African influences.
You have to go Wedding honeymoon here because (as was reported by BBC) Republic of Maldives was trying to find a land. They already prepare to save some money from their tourism industry for that. Considering of global warming, it won’t be possible that Republic of Maldives will drown someday. So before it happen you have to see Maldives which is one of Seven Wonders of Nature.
