Romania is a country located in southeastern and central Europe . This place is extremely dazzling country to visit during your wedding honeymoon. It is not a scary country like we ever read in lots of novel although there are some dark ages historical in this country. But almost all of the country in this world has it.

You can find some UNESCO list of Heritage here; includes Saxon Villages with fortified churches in Transylvania, the painted churches of northern Moldavia , the wooden churches of Maramures which is a unique examples that combine Gothic style with traditional timber construction, the Monastery of Horezu, the citadel of Sighisoara, and the Dacian Fortresses of Orastie Mountains.. Those amazing buildings are scattered around the country.
These are some interesting places that are recommended:
Sighisoara – Medieval Town
from *manuela*
Is the part of UNESCO list of Heritage. So you can still feel the atmosphere of the late middle-ages. My suggestion is if you to go here, pick a time that is not a tourist season, when it is less crowded and you’ll still see the kids going to the school on the hill, climbing the covered snow that was intended to protect them from heavy snow and rain. You will feel another beautiful atmosphere for your wedding honeymoon. Anyway, this place is the birth place of Vlad III Dracula, The Walachia’s ruler that was an inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Novel.
Fortified Churches in South-Eastern Transylvania
from robelsas
Transylvania is a famous city on earth and it has rich historical story as well, that is why I recommended this place for you to visit during your wedding honeymoon. In the middle ages, people were building defending fortifications in each village in order to protect themselves, the families and the goods from the invaders. If you go in the area, try not to miss Râşnov citadel, which has recently been restored and is one of the most beautiful in South-Eastern Europe.
Painted Monasteries in Moldova
from dryasadingo
It is one of lots of UNESCO list of Heritage that is located in Romania . What makes the painted monasteries part of UNESCO World Heritage is the exterior painting kept intact since the XV Century. You can relax and feel the peace atmosphere here. This place definitely deserves a visit during your wedding honeymoon.
There still a lot of places worth to visit in Romania . But I can’t write them all here. Just go there and let your eyes and soul enjoy the greatest of Romania .
